The Rezilience Organization is rooted in acknowledging the longevity of indigenous knowledge that is a constant source of strength for Native peoples of the Southwest – and beyond. We are committed to nurturing communities of New Mexico and building on the strength of our collective resilience. As an Indigenous-led organization, we are committed to the following values:
Solution Based Strategy – strategic implementation of plans for encouraging Indigenous situations – such as mentor programs within the community.
Action – creating a movement to mobilize, implement, and provide opportunities and space to contribute ideas and values.
Knowledge Sharing – creating a platform to empower, provide collective knowledge, for community disbursement and ownership to, protect Indigenous values.
Community Focus – build positive and supportive connections with peers and other community members to encourage enduring and mutually-beneficial relationships that encourage accountability, empathy, awareness, participation, respect, service, and celebration.
Visioning – generating future forward-thinking, meditation, reflection, prayer, imagination, and innovation through culturally relevant programs.
Reflection – assess community values and data collection, and assist in the “glows and grows” of opportunities provided, both positive and negative.
Maintenance – encourage sustainability through resource use and management of organizational activities.
Accountability – inspire behaviors that show our respect and appreciation to our relatives, future beings, our other earth relatives and ancestors.
Truth Telling – provide space to share indigenous histories, narratives, voices, cultural teachings, our philosophies and values.
